“Since I was a kid I adopted art as a way of living, not only because of the atmosphere in which I grew up, as my parents are artists as well, but because I was captured by painting and photography.

I always thought that human race had evolved in such a manner that it manage to “interpret” reality almost in its true form…we are creators as well!”. What art provokes in humans, and the creation of an image were for me a complete mystery that awaken my curiosity. These thoughts and that mystery ignited on me the feeling to be part of that creation.

The cinema caught my attention and imagination, through it lens told me stories about fantastic beings and lives alien to my reality which also transmitted emotions and feelings. Cinema showed me diverse and parallel lives, so I want to keep exploring those other dimensions through my own lenses.”

César is a Mexican cinematographer, he has several movie making and cinematography diplomas from Mexico and abroad. He has spent most of his time on the set, being assistant cameraman for fifteen years and operator for three years. So it can be said that he was mainly shaped on-the-job-learning-experience, contemplating the urban atmosphere as a source of inspiration and the movie theatres as classrooms.

 His recent work is highlighted by working with:

•  Netflix in LUIS MIGUEL series in Camera Operator role.

• Amazon in EL CANDIDATO series in Camera Operator role.
